One role of lecturers of The Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science (BLNS), Assumption University of Thailand is academic service provision to the public based on people\u2019s needs. From the community assessment at the area near the Manarotul-Uloom Foundation, it was found that both children and adults suffered from venomous snakes. Therefore, Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, Dr. Chavalee Boonto, Dr. Prapawan Praevanich, and Dr. Naree Achwarin provided health education regarding venomous snakes to 30 students at Manarotul-Uloom Foundation on February 15, 2025.<\/p>

Effects of Venomous Snakes include:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Hemotoxins resulting in bleeding or coagulation disorder (Green pit-viper, Russell\u2019s viper, Malayan pit-viper)<\/li>
  • Neurotoxins leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, altered sensation, and coordination problems (cobra, king cobra, Malayan krait, Banded krait, etc.)<\/li>
  • Myotoxins causing muscle destruction, myonecrosis, and pain such (sea snake)<\/li><\/ul>

    The types of venomous snakes, signs & symptoms as well as management after snake bites were included in this education provision.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>
