Overseas Internship Program of Austrian Nursing Students

The overseas internship program, chaired by Dr. Chavalee Boonto, has been organized by the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science during November 5-December 2, 2022. There are seven nursing students from the University of Applied Science, Austria consisting of Ms. Anna Czajlik, Ms. Theresa Hamminger, Ms. Malanie Kinast, Ms. Isabel Schlager, Ms. Julia Stiegler, Ms. Mara WeseBlintner, and Ms. Ronja Braden. They have participated in theoretical classes:  NB2215 Entrepreneurship in Health Care and NS 2326 Family-Centered Care for Infant, Child, and Adolescent I. In addition, they have  participated in the Clinical Practicum with AU nursing students in professional Nursing Foundation  at Bhumibol and Samut Prakan Hospitals; and Family-Centered Care for Infant, Child, and Adolescent Nursing Practicum I at Samut Prakan and Sirindhorn Hospitals. Moreover, they will visit Christian Care Foundation for Children with Disabilities (CCD); Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Hospital;  and Bueng-Yitho Health Care Center and Retirement Home.

Moreover, they attended Thai culture class given by Dr. Jaruwan Puangmalee, Chairperson of General Education Department; and A. Sasitorn Tassanaiyana, Director, Office of Thai Arts and Culture. Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the President of Assumption University;  Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, the Vice President for Moral Development Education and Campus Minister; Rev. Bro. Dr. Prawat Sutthinont, Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dean, Associate Dean, Faculty Members, and Students of School of Nursing Science welcomed and took photos with them on November 7, 2022 on the occasion of AU Loy Krathong Festival at Suvarnabhumi campus.

The visits to Nitasrattanakosin Museum, Grand Palace, Emerald Temple, Wat Pho,  Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, and Wat Mahathat are included in the part of cultural exposures. They will visit Vejthani and Piyavate Hospitals to observe the teaching-learning activities of AU nursing students in the Nursing Management and Leadership Practicum course too.
