Academic and Relationship strengthening between BLNS and Vichaivej Hospital Groups

Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science (BLNS) has initiated good relationship and academic collaboration with Vichaivej Hospital since January 10, 2023, to present. There are many activities that two institutions have been cooperating on enhancing nursing students’ academic performance and hospital nursing staff’s academic collaboration.

On September 11, 2024, BLNS led by Dr. Phat Prapawichar, Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Onouma Thummapol, Associate Dean, Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, and Assistant Professor Dr. Siriporn Poonruksa, Program responsible persons, visited Vichaivej International Hospital Nongkhaem for having formal discussion to prepare for Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will be held on October 22, 2024.

On that day, Dr. Sunee Thirakaroonwongse, Director of Vichaivej International Hospital Nongkhaem, Ms.Pannee Kannee, Ms. Kwanyun Sooksomphoch, the Deputy Directors, Ms. Nitaya Sangiun  and other directors gave us a warm welcome. Vichaivej Hospital Groups will mainly support BLNS as the affiliated hospitals for nursing students’ practicum training and field trips. For BLNS side will also offer a training course such Preceptorship Training for nursing staff of the hospitals and other professional nursing seminars arranging in the future as well as being a main institutional consultant for academic training that needs to be approved by Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council. Furthermore, the Master program on Health Entrepreneur and Wellness Management and Certificate program on Practical Nurse have been discussed and offered for staff to continue studying.

Moreover, on September 25, 2024, a group of 37 third year nursing students and three instructors, Dr. Supa Pudkasam, Dr. Patra Phuekphan, and Assistant Professor Dr. Kanyaphat                        Setchoduk visited Veichaivej International Hospital Nongkhaem again for field trip of Alteration in Adult Health Nursing subject. The objectives of this field trip are learning about nurses’ role and responsibility for clients receiving hemodialysis.

We hope that the good relationship and academic networking between Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science and Vichaivej Hospital Groups will be last long maintained through mutual agreement and immense supports from authority persons and staff of two institutions.
