Strengthening Healthcare Collaboration: Nursing School and Vichaivej International Hospital Group
To enhance the quality healthcare education and services, Assumption University (AU) of Thailand formalized its partnership with Vichaivej International Hospital Group through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 22, 2024. The ceremony took place in the Seminar Room at De Montfort Hall, Assumption University’s Hua Mak Campus.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, the President of Assumption University of Thailand delivered the welcome speech to the administrators of Vichaivej International Hospital group led by Asst. Prof. Saisunee Vanadurongwan, M.D., the Vice President / Chief Executive Officer.
The program consisted of opening remarks by Dr. Phat Prapawichar, Dean of the Nursing School, and delivering a presentation on the collaboration between AU Nursing School and Vichaivej International Hospital Group by Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol, Associate Dean. The MoU signing aims to foster cooperation in clinical training, research, and community healthcare programs, further enhancing the university’s role in developing future healthcare professionals.
Dr. Phat said, “This MoU marks an important milestone in our journey to elevate healthcare education and clinical practice. Together with Vichaivej International Hospital Group, we are committed to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals who will make a meaningful impact in their communities.”
Asst. Prof. Saisunee Vanadurongwan, M.D. presented their vision for this collaboration, emphasizing shared goals in promoting quality healthcare education and services. The partnership promises exciting new opportunities for both institutions. After the formal signing, attendees participated in a group photo session, followed by networking and refreshments, underscoring the camaraderie and collaborative spirit of the event.
On this occasion, Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Research and Academic Services, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Ngienthi, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nathaya Pupat, Director, Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs and nursing faculty members also participated in this special event.
