Capping Ceremony for Nursing Students, Class of 2025
The Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science (BLNS), Assumption University of Thailand organized the Capping Ceremony on Friday, February 16, 2024 (12:30-15:00 Hours) at Auditorium Hall, Hua Mak Campus to honor the academic achievements of 37 sophomore nursing students who passed Nursing Foundation both theory and practicum and had commitment to the healthcare profession. The eligible students who received the caps were Thai, Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, and British.
This Capping Ceremony aimed to adorn nursing caps to qualified nursing students, to inspire nursing students to continue their studies successfully, and to promote student’s good attitude toward nursing profession. The activities in this ceremony were Ritual ceremony, Professional tradition, and capping ceremony.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President and Rector Magnificus, reflected on the significance of the Nightingale Pledge which indicated that students promised to dedicate themselves to provide healthcare services to people based on professional ethics without discrimination.
One part of this ceremony was opening and closing prayers delivered by Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development Education & University Campus Minister. To make this ceremony lively, Asst. Prof. Dott. Alberto Firrincieli, a lecturer of Louis Nobiron School of Music, played the piano in this event.
Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, the Dean of the School of Nursing Science, remarked, “I hope that the Capping Ceremony will motivate the sophomore nursing students to complete their studies and become full-fledged nurses in the near future.”
On this occasion, Dr. Vindhai Cocracul, Academic Advisor, A. Sompol Na- Songkhla, Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs, Director of Library, Director of Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Administrators from North University, and Administrator from Klong Kaja school as well as parents of the sophomore students also congratulated these students.
