The Academic Service Committee of Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science (BLNS), Assumption University of Thailand organized the Preceptorship Training for Nursing Practicum 2024 on January 9-10 and 15-16, 2024 at Salle d’ Expo, Hua Mak Campus. The curriculum of this training was approved by Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council with 28 Continuing Nursing Education Unit (CNEU).The training aimed to 1) train qualified nursing staff from affiliated hospitals, nursing alumni and faculty members to be efficient Au preceptors / faculty members 2) strengthen the quality of teaching-learning activities in clinical setting and 3) maintain the standard ratio of faculty member/preceptor to student 1:8 in the health care settings.
On January 9, 2024, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran President – Rector Magnificus of Assumption University of Thailand delivered opening speech.There were four external honorable guest speakers and nine speakers were the faculty members of BLNS. The program contents and speakers were as follows:

– Nursing process and application: Dr. Phat Prapawichar (Associate Dean of BLNS), Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanyaphat Setchoduk, Dr. Nungruetai Kanchantr, and Dr. Patra Phuekphan (Full-time faculty members of BLNS)
– Preceptorship in nursing education: Prof. Dr. Pinthusorn Pattayakorn (Master’s degree coordinator, Nursing Department, California State University, San Bernardino), Ms. Kattiya Podimuang, Faculty member, Nursing Department, California State University, San Bernardino), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol (Full-time faculty member of BLNS)
– Clinical teaching and learning process: Dr. Supa Pudkasam, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol (Full-time faculty members of BLNS)

There were 50 participants consisting of professional nurses from both private and government healthcare agencies, nursing instructors and AU nursing alumni. On January 16, 2024, AU nursing alumni also paid the respect to faculty members of BLNS on the occasion of the teacher’s day.
