On August 21, 2025, the AU community joyfully celebrates the birthday of Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU).
The morning’s program began with an assemblage at Salle d’ Expo, Hua Mak Campus, followed by warm birthday greetings and a heartfelt presentation of a bouquet by the Vice President for Academic Affairs symbolizing the University’s appreciation, after which a photo session captured moments of unity and celebration. The gathering concluded with snacks and drinks, offering a chance for fellowship and shared joy.
In his birthday address, Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka inspired the audience with words of gratitude and humility. He warmly shared that the blessings and wishes bestowed upon him should be returned to everyone a hundredfold, reflecting his deep spirit of generosity and faith.
Marking the completion of his first year as President of AU, Rev. Bro. Sirichai expressed that he feels both energized and profoundly grateful to the AU community for their unwavering support and encouragement. His message, filled with hope and appreciation, reinforced the shared journey of the University.
Guided by the Montfortian motto “God Alone”, Bro. Sirichai has dedicated his life to faith, education, and service. His leadership embodies the enduring values of Fidelity, Loyalty, and Esprit de Corps, inspiring the AU family to live with purpose. He often reflects on the words, “A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for”—a reminder that AU must venture beyond safe harbors, embracing innovation, challenges, and new horizons in pursuit of academic excellence and service to society.
On this special day, the AU community extends its prayers for God’s abundant blessings upon Rev. Bro. Sirichai—wishing him good health, happiness, and continued strength to guide the University with wisdom and compassion.
