BLNS Students’ Precious Experiences at TNMC

On November 5, 2024, twenty-two senior nursing students and two instructors led by Dr. Patra Phuekphan and Assistant Professor Dr. Siriporn Poonruksa had a great moment to visit Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).  This fieldtrip is one part of Nursing Leadership and Management Practicum subject. It was arranged for senior nursing students to exposure professional nursing organization to learn its policy, function, and management system.

We got a warm welcome from Captain Dr. Thanaporn Yaemsuda, Assistant Director of Center for Continuing Nursing Education. She kindly presented us the history, responsibilities, and authority of TNMC which has the main function to regulate the practice of registered nurses, midwives, or nurse-midwives according to the professional code of ethics as well as the registration and licensing process, curriculum approval, and program accreditation.

In addition, students had auspicious experiences to assimilate the honorable history of Thai nurses in the past until present from the TNMC museum.
