Nursing the Future: AU Celebrates the Class of 2024 at Convocation

Assumption University (AU) proudly honored the Nursing Graduates, Class of 2024 in a heartfelt Nursing Convocation on March 19, 2025 at the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science. The ceremony was a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and passion of AU’s future healthcare heroes as they step into the world of professional nursing.

Distinguished guests included Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong (Vice President for Moral Development Education & University Campus Minister), Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Ngienthi (Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Nattaya Pupat (Director, Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs). Faculty members, families, and hospital representatives also attended the ceremony.

The event commenced with an inspiring Academic Address by Dr. Phat Prapawichar, Dean of the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science, her words resonated with encouragement, reminding graduates of their vital role in shaping the future of healthcare.

Following the academic address, Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Assumption University, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering excellence in healthcare education and professional ethics.

One of the most symbolic moments of the day was the Adorning of the Professional Signature, signifying the graduates’ transition into the esteemed profession. This was followed by the Pledge of Loyalty, where graduates vowed to uphold the highest standards of nursing ethics and care.

Adding to the inspiration, Dr. Chaowarit Ngernthaisong, PhD, RN, an esteemed BLNS alumnus and lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, delivered an insightful talk on “The Professional Nurse: Passionate and Pathways to Opportunity.” His words served as both motivation and guidance, emphasizing the boundless possibilities awaiting AU’s nursing graduates.

The convocation ceremony concluded with a group photo session, marking a momentous occasion for graduates. Following the ceremony, graduates could visit hospital and organization booths affiliated with the nursing faculty. These included Piyavate Hospital, Ekthana Healthcare HR Network, MedPark Hospital, Sukumvit Hospital, Vichaivej Hospital, CHG Hospital, Vichaiyut Hospital, Nakhornthon Hospital, Tria Medical Wellness Center, as well as De Formula and AU OIA booths.

These booths provided valuable insights into career opportunities, enabling graduates to explore potential employment options and avenues for professional growth. As these newly minted nurses step into hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities, they carry with them not only knowledge and skills but also the compassion and commitment that define true nursing excellence.
