Faculty of Nursing Science Hosts Grade 9 Students from Assumption College Sriracha
On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing Science at Assumption University welcomed 80 Grade 9 students from Assumption College Sriracha for a learning visit aimed at introducing them to the nursing profession and university life.
The visit began with a short welcome and orientation session, followed by a tour of the faculty’s facilities. Students had the opportunity to explore classrooms, nursing skill laboratories, and simulation rooms where nursing students receive hands-on training.
Throughout the visit, participants engaged in several interactive activities designed to give them a feel for basic nursing skills. These included getting familiar with basic medical equipment, and practicing key health assessment techniques. One of the highlights of the session was a basic CPR training workshop, where students were guided step-by-step on how to respond in emergency situations. These hands-on activities allowed students to actively participate and ask questions, encouraging curiosity and engagement.
Faculty members and current nursing students facilitated the experience, helping to explain the roles and responsibilities of nurses and how nursing education prepares students for clinical practice.
The visit aimed to support career exploration and provide students with early exposure to health science education. It also reflects ongoing efforts to promote health-related knowledge among younger students and build connections between institutions.
The Faculty of Nursing Science appreciates the visit from Assumption College Sriracha and looks forward to welcoming more students in future outreach events.
