AU Nursing Faculty Hosts Blood Donation Event to Celebrate 40th Anniversary

On Friday, 29 August 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Assumption University, successfully held a Blood Donation Day at the Suvarnabhumi Campus. This special event was organized to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing, in remembrance of the Princess Mother, and in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The event was honored by the presence of Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of Assumption University, who graciously presided over the opening ceremony. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of cultivating social responsibility among AU students and highlighted how blood donation is a simple yet profound way of saving lives and serving the wider community.

Throughout the day, students, faculty members, staff, and volunteers came together to contribute to this noble cause. The atmosphere was filled with compassion, unity, and a strong spirit of service. The event not only raised awareness of the importance of regular blood donation but also strengthened the value of giving back to society — a core mission of the nursing profession.

The success of the program was made possible through the support of the Student Development Committee, with special thanks to Ms. Jitlada Thawornkul, whose guidance encouraged students to take active roles in planning and executing the activity. Her contribution reflects the collaborative spirit of AU in empowering students to learn through service.

The Faculty of Nursing extends sincere appreciation to all donors, organizers, and participants. This event stands as a meaningful reminder of AU’s continued commitment to service, compassion, and community engagement — values that have been at the heart of the Faculty of Nursing throughout its 40-year journey.
